I assume that would be Objective-C or Swift, where Objective-C would be preferred since I care about backwards compatibility. It might be possible to use Cocoa from any language, such as C/C++, however I would rather focus on languages that have been developed to work with them. I want to write MacOS software, calling just Apple's API (I think it is called Cocoa?) to have the maximum control, backwards compatibility, and perhaps speed. ![]() In order to follow along with the examples below, make sure to add Swift to your PATH.
